Unlike Thiago Silva or Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Edinson Cavani didn’t want to extend a few weeks with PSG to end the Champions League. A choice that could be explained.
Between PSG and the best goalscorer in history, Edinson Cavani, history ended in a black spot. While the Uruguayan was at the end of his contract and no extension was planned, the striker didn’t even agree to end the Champions League with the capital’s club. The matador found himself free on June 30th and finally waited until the last day of the transfer window, October 5th, to get in touch with Manchester United. Which raises some questions about Cavani’s choice to berate PSG and Leonardo for the Champions League.
Cavani was already thinking of Manchester United
This Tuesday, France Football returned to Edinson Cavani’s transfer window and on that occasion revealed one of the reasons behind the Uruguayan decision to fail PSG. As the weekly newspaper explains, Manchester United had been discussing with the Matador since January.
