While Bouna Sarr moved to Bayern Munich, Michaël Cuisance was loaned to him with the option to buy from OM. And of course Bayern wouldn’t really have kept the French midfielder.
After long weeks of efforts, André Villas-Boas will finally have succeeded in recruiting Michaël Cuisance. During this transfer window, the Bayern Munich player was one of the OM coach’s top priorities. However, this was far from being won, as the Phocaeans were initially unable to reach an agreement with the Bavarians for lack of money. Then Villas-Boas thought he saw Cuisance disappear under his nose, but while the Frenchman had to get involved in Leeds, it blocked the medical examination. For OM, everything was finally activated in the last hours of the transfer window with Bayern Munich’s interest in Bouna Sarr. So the latter was spinning in Bavaria, while Michaël Cuisance did the opposite and received an option to buy the Canebière.
OM helped by Bayern Munich?
This season, Michaël Cuisance will continue to develop with the OM jersey. A player Bayern Munich would not necessarily have kept during this transfer window after signing him for five seasons in the summer of 2019. As French football announced on Tuesday, the Frenchman did not necessarily achieve unanimity in Bavaria. In fact, despite a certain talent, Cuisance hasn’t been particularly viewed well because of its quirky side, athletic demands, and physical fragility. So what makes his departure to OM easier at the end of the transmission window.
